General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

WEBB1401---Langport-banner5

Like all organisations we are getting ready for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into effect on 25 May 2018.

We don’t collect or sell data

Unlike most of our friends in the media, we do not keep, sell or use your data. We do not keep databases of names and addresses of our readers and contacts. If you enter a competition with the Leveller Publishing Group, we will hold the contact information you send us only for the purposes of contacting you if you should be a winner. We will not otherwise retain that data.

Online services

When we post news on our news website, how you access and view that material is up to you. The Leveller Publishing Group does not itself, hold individual data relating to access to our website.

If you choose to follow our Twitter and Facebook pages, you are welcome to do so, but then do so under the terms of Twitter and Facebook and will therefore see material that we post to those sites.

Information received

If you send us unsolicited material, we reserve the right to keep it and use it.

If you send us mailshots and do not protect the identity of other recipients of that mailshot, that is your responsibility not ours. We do not undertake mailshots and will continue to avoid doing so.

Subscriptions

If you ask us for a subscription, we will keep your contact data solely for the purposes of asking if you wish to continue that subscription. If you decline, then we will remove that contact data.

If you believe that we have your data stored or have contacted you other than in line with the [olicy above, please contact us at levellereditor@gmail.com and advise us what data you feel we have and how we have used it. We will take immediate action to rectify the situation.
