Langport car park disruption

The Town Clerk has arranged for white lining to be replaced in the main Langport car park behind the town square at Whatley and Cocklemoor, 25th and 26th April respectively. The contractor has said that he may have to let long stay parkers use the short stay bays in order to mark out those particular bays, though

General Election called

The Prime Minister Teresa May has called for a General Election to take place on June 8th. The snap election has been proposed to try and get a bigger majority for the Government ahead of the Brexit negotiation. I say “proposed” and “try” as Prime Ministers can no longer call snap elections on a whim
